Faye Grigsby

Faye Belle Grigsby, 97, of Frankfort, died at 2:10 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born on Sunday, March 8, 1925, in Williamsport, Ohio, the daughter of the late Earnest Oren and Marie Crago Martindill. On December 24, 1954, she married Joe Grigsby and they shared over fifty years together before his death on April 7, 2005.

She is survived by their five sons, Steven (Judy) Grigsby, E. Wayne (Lynette) Grigsby, Douglas D. Grigsby, Ronald J. (Mari) Grigsby and Jeffrey L. (Sandy) Grigsby all of Frankfort, eleven grandchildren, Christopher A. and Brian E. Grigsby, Matthew W. and Ryan F. Davis, Jeremy A. Grigsby, Katie M. Rose, Timothy R. Grigsby, Stephanie F. Grigsby, Megan E. Lange, Jennifer E. Ost and Alan W. Grigsby, eighteen great – grandchildren and with three more to be born in June. Faye is also survived by her two sisters: Louise Landrum of New Holland and Wanda Harlan of Washington C.H. She was preceded in death by five sisters; Frances Starkey, Margaret Rohre, Helen Haines, Clarice Black and Patricia “Tootsie” Gaines and five brothers: Alvin, Russell, Glen, Thomas “Bud” and Eugene Martindill.

Faye was a homemaker and farm wife. She enjoyed playing cards around the kitchen table and laughing when she was accused of cheating . She was a proud mother and loved all her grandchildren and great – grandchildren. Faye was the oldest member of the Concord Presbyterian Church, Lattaville.

A funeral service for Faye will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Concord Presbyterian Church with Pastor Todd Thomas officiating. Following the service, Faye will be laid to rest beside her husband, Joe, in the Concord Cemetery. Family and friends can visit with her family on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort.
