Faith Barnes

In loving memory of Faith Barnes July 14, 1947 - August 26, 2025

Faith Barnes, born on July 14, 1947, in Bainbridge, Ohio, to Lillian Davis and Donald "Jamup" Davis, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones The youngest daughter among her siblings, Faith, brought joy, strength, and warmth to everyone who knew her.

She dedicated 38 years of service to Horizon Telephone Company, where she built lasting friendships and retired with pride in her hard work and commitment. A woman of unwavering faith, Faith was a devoted member of the Original Glorious Church of God in Christ, where she served faithfully on the Praise Team and sang as a beloved member of the Unified Gospel Choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Donald Davis; her brothers Ray McCauley and John Davis of Bainbridge, Ohio; her sisters Sylvia Scott of Columbus, Ohio, and Donna Ford of Chillicothe, Ohio; as well as Tom Handy and fiancée Dorsey Bass.

Faith is survived by her sisters Sandra Garnes and Doralee Hairston, both of Chillicothe, Ohio. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will cherish her memory forever. Among her closest friends were Marian Turner, Kathy Sims, Krystal Cousins, Vick Copp, Sherri Housen, Judy Lee, Cathy Seely, and The Posse

Faith will be remembered for her kind heart, quiet strength, deep love for her family, and her joyful voice lifted in praise through song.

Forever in Our Hearts. Her voice may be silent, but her song lives on in all of us.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Glorious Church of God 123 West Main Street Chillicothe, Ohio 45601 with viewing: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM and the funeral service at 12 PM officiated by Elder Michael Maughmer. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery.
