Dwight C. "Buttons" Pettiford

Dwight C. “Buttons” Pettiford, Jr., 68, of Chillicothe, died on Friday evening, March 26, 2021 at 6:47pm at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born on Friday, November 21, 1952 in Roxabel, the son of the late Dwight C. “Pappy” and Bertha Mae Banks Pettiford, Sr..

Surviving are his two sons, Kennen Pettiford and Niall Pettiford, both of Chillicothe, two sisters, Annie Pettiford of Frankfort, Jeney (Todd) Harris of Chillicothe, two nephews, Todd (Ashley) Harris of Chillicothe, Brandon Harris of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Banks and Patty Pettiford.

Buttons was a 1972 graduate from Adena High School. He was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching Adena School sports and was a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan.

In keeping with Button’s wishes, cremation will take place. No funeral services will be held.
