Douglas Ray Knisley

Douglas "Doug" R. Knisley 55 of Bainbridge passed away at 10:51 pm Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at his home surrounded by those who loved him dearly. He was born July 22, 1960 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Wells "Billy" William Knisley and Mildred "Jeanette" Adams. On May 22, 1982 he married Cinda Evans, who survives.

He is also survived by his son, Jered (Rachel) Knisley and his daughter Elizabeth (Gage McFadden) Knisley; grandbaby and best friend, Emma Grace "Bird" Knisley; grandson Ethan Matthews; brother William "Chipper" (Karen) Knisley and sisters Dawn "Dawny" (Jeff) White, Ronda Bowles, and Michelle "Bean" (Jason) Ayres; Mother-in-law Jeany Evans; Step father Howard Adams and several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents Clark and Arabel Walley and John and Grace Knisley; father-in-law Ernest "Tub" Evans and several special friends.

Doug was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed spending his mornings at the coffee shop and socializing from his front porch. His favorite days were spent with his son on the family farm, making weekend trips to visit his daughter, or late evening rides and chocolate cones with his wife. He also enjoyed watching cartoons and spoiling his grandbaby, whom he absolutely adored.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Monday, May 9, 2016 at the Bainbridge United Methodist Church with Randy Beatty officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with Doug's family from 3-7 pm Sunday at the church.
