Dorothy Elble

Dorothy Louise Elble 78 of Commercial Point passed from this life Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Pickaway Manor, Circleville. She was born Sunday, November 9, 1947, in Bainbridge to the late Otis and Cora M. (Tunneyhill) Allen.

She is survived by her husband Gary L. Elble; three children Cassi (Adam) Stewart, Michelle (Jeff) Davis and Megan Elble; nine grandchildren Bella Stewart, Bodhi Stewart, Callum Stewart, Colin (Madison) Davis, Ethan Davis, Anna Davis, Owen Gorecki, Ayden Gorecki and Nolan Gorecki; sister Beverly Stevens; niece Kelli (Jimmy) Donahue; great nephew Owen Donahue; three nephews Rex Allen, Jerry Allen and Mark Allen; sister-in-law Debbie (Duane) Scott and their daughter Renee (Scott) Riddle.

In addition to her parents Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers Larry and Jerry Allen and a niece Loretta Lynn Allen.

Dorothy was born and raised in Bainbridge and graduated from Paint Valley High School in 1966. She was a paraprofessional for Hillsboro Middle School for many years. She was also a past member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

Dorothy dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling them. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Jeff Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 am until the start of the service at 1pm on Thursday.
