Donnie Lambert

Donnie Ray Lambert, 84, of Stoutsville, passed away Saturday morning, July 29, 2023, at the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was born on Tuesday, July 25, 1939, in Ross County, a son of the late Raymond and Helen McCoy Lambert. He married the former Margaret A. Carroll on November 15, 1963.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, their three daughters: Cheryl (John) Wall of Marysville, Ronda Plaskett of Louisville, OH, and Sandy (Charlie) Hacker of West Liberty, OH. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Amanda, Adam, Natalie, Grace and Hannah, two sisters; Clara Pollock of Bainbridge and Kathy Lambert of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his son, Donnie R. Lambert, Jr., one sister, Janet K. Diles and four brothers:his twin brother, Johnny, Malcolm, Clarence and Floyd Lambert.

Donnie was a ten year US Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He retired as a Boiler Operator at Rickenbacker Air Base in Columbus.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023, in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort with Jay Fabin officiating. Military Honors will be accorded at the grave by the US Navy and the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends can visit at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
