Cora C. Basye

Cora C. Basye, 80, of South Salem, died at home on Saturday morning, March 28, 2020 following an extended illness. She was born on Sunday, December 24, 1939 in Bainbridge, a daughter of the late Thomas and Flora Irene Wilson Skaggs. She is survived by her husband, Donald W. Basye whom she married on  October 13, 1962.

She is survived by their two daughters, Angela Basye of South Salem and Christina D. Basye and her special friend, Margaret Andrews of Circleville, three grandsons, Ronald Houseman, II, Brandon Houseman and John Davis, II, seven great grandchildren, Ronald, Christopher, Raven, Bella Cora Rose and Madelynn Houseman, Easton Davis, Kaleb Rinehart, Isaac Garrison, one sister, Phyllis Sexton of Greenfield, one brother, Richard Skaggs and several nieces and nephews. Cora was preceded in death by one son, Mark Wayne Basye and several brothers and sisters.

In keeping with Cora’s wishes, she will be cremated. Her family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. The ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield is serving the family.
