Clifford W. Barnhart

Clifford W. A"BubA" Barnhart 83, of Bainbridge died 7:03 pm Saturday, August 27, 2011 at his home. He was born December 1, 1927 in Franklin Furnace the son of the late Clifford and Nancy Emily Richards Barnhart. On October 18, 1948 he married Edith K. Henss, who survives.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Shirley (Donnie) Adkins of Bainbridge, Wayne (Debbie) Barnhart of Bainbridge and Eric (Jodi) Barnhart of Randleman, NC; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sisters, Jean Snyder, Mary Ann Nace, Lilly Mae Myers and Judy Carter; brothers, Melvin, Harold and Raymond Barnhart; special friends, Pete and Edna Kinzer, Elmer and Marilyn Pulver and Tiny (John) Holbert. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis; sister, Betty Goddard; brothers, Jerry and Jake Barnhart.



Bub was a 1945 graduate of Greenfield McClain High School, he retired from the DT&I Railroad, he was an Army Veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 14 of Bainbridge.



Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the SMITH- MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Rev. Marland Penwell officiating, burial will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Highland County Honor Guard. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
