Charles "Tom" Stewart

Charles (Tom) Stewart, age 87 of Columbus, OH passed peacefully on May 7th 2025.

He was born Wednesday, April 11,1938 in Leon, WV to the late Orville & Loveada Stewart. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Lena (Benner) Stewart. He is survived by his loving son Martin (Dawn) Stewart and grandson Seth as well as one remaining brother Orville (Patty) Stewart and many other nieces and nephews.

Charles retired after 45 years from Gay Wire but continued to stay busy doting on his wife and enjoying his time working in the yard or watching classic sitcoms. He also enjoyed cooking and telling stories of his youth but above all the love of his sweet Lena and time spent with his son always meant the most.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 10th, 2025 at 1 p.m. in the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME with Randy Chrisman officiating. Following the service, Tom will be laid to rest beside his wife, Lena in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
