Carolyn Sue Long

Carolyn Sue Long, 70, of Frankfort, died at 11:17 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022, at ProMedica of Chillicothe. She was born on Sunday, November 25, 1951, in Ross County, the daughter of Howard and Patricia Wolford Jacobs. On June 9, 1989, she married Gary A. Long.

She is survived by her husband, Gary, of Frankfort, her mother: Patricia Gearhart of Kingston, two sons: Michael T. Seymour of Cedar Rapids, IA and Stephen A. Seymour of Washington C.H., one step daughter: Laura (Scott) Spicher of Burlington, KY, also surviving are seven grandchildren, two sisters: Janice (Hersey) Quinn of Williamsburg, VA, Tamara Barker of Chillicothe, one step sister: Lois (Ted) Avery of Kingston, one sister-in-law: Karen Jacobs of Laurelville, one brother: Michael (Vicki) Jacobs of Frankfort, four step brothers: Pete (Marilyn) Gearhart, Carl Gearhart, Jr., Rick Gearhart and Chuck Gearhart. Sue was preceded in death by her father, Howard Jacobs, one brother, Jeffrey Jacobs and one step brother, Rob Gearhart.  

Sue had worked at K-Mart and she retired as a Pharmacy Tech at CVS Pharmacy on Western Avenue. She loved NASCAR and was a fan of Jeff Gordon and Country and Western music.

Friends can visit with Sue’s family at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A graveside service will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort with Pastor Neil Foster officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in her memory to ProMedica Hospice, 1058 Columbus, Street, Chillicothe, OH 45601.
