Brenda Houser

Brenda M. Houser, 66, of Chillicothe, passed from this life to eternal rest on Sunday morning, September 17, 2023, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. Her family was around her during her peaceful passing. She was born in Chillicothe on Saturday, August 24, 1957, a daughter of the late Clarence, Jr. and Geraldine Dyke Houser.

She is survived by her four sisters; Joanne (Rod) Price of Chillicothe, Bonnie (Duke) Mullineaux and Pam (Perry) Tackett all of Frankfort and Evelyn Browning of Chillicothe, her three brothers; Fred Houser of Frankfort, Larry (Debbie) Houser and Al Houser all of Chillicothe, several nieces and nephews including Jamie Glispie and Cindi Tackett and Jesse Tackett, also several great nieces and nephews who she always wanted their ball schedules so she could watch their games, Gage, Allie and Wyatt Glispie and Gunner Poling, her two special boys, Emery and Avery. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jim Browning, her sister-in-law, Kay Houser and her aunt, Doris Brown.

Brenda was a 1975 graduate of Adena High School. Following high school, she worked for many years at Domino's Pizza in Chillicothe. She also had worked at the Ross County Department of Job and Family Services. Brenda attended Fruit Hill Church as a youth where she heard the word of God and carried that with her until Jesus reached his hand down early Sunday morning and led her back into her mother's arms.

Brenda was a member of the Scleroderma Foundation. Scleroderma, an illness that Brenda had for 27 years, never dimmed her light in her life. She had a heart of gold and always enjoyed sharing her joy with others. Brenda got such enjoyment at Christmas time by spending time with her loved ones and seeing the joy on their faces. Brenda's light will continue to shine as those who she blessed will now bless others.

Family and friends are asked to attend Brenda's funeral service on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Following the service, she will be laid to rest beside her parents in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
