Brenda Corey

Brenda Lee Corey, 73, of Frankfort, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 15, 2026. She was born on February 18, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late RC and Ethel Johnson Corey.

She is survived by her sisters; Kay (Homer) Austin of Frankfort, Faye Whaley of Frankfort, Charlene (Joel) Roberts of Chillicothe, brothers; Eddie (Laura) Corey of Chillicothe, Robert (Shaun) Corey of Frankfort, Paul Corey of Chillicothe, Larry Corey of Frankfort, Wyatt Corey of Chillicothe, and Craig Corey of Chillicothe, sister-in-law; Darlene Corey of Rainsboro, as well as many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She is also survived by her great-nieces and nephews who she helped raise; Katie (Gabriel) Cruise, Sarah Corey, Samarah Corey, all of Frankfort, Josh Tyler of Chillicothe, Dallas Tyler of Dayton, and Brandon Corey of Frankfort. She had a special place in her heart for her great-great nieces and nephews; Ellie Cruise, Maggie Gray, Willow Sheppard, Braxton Sheppard, Jeremiah Howard, and Ava Faye Howard. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister; Linda Robinette, one brother; Ray Corey, and one sister-in-law; Angie Corey

Brenda enjoyed living life. She loved her Lord and enjoyed singing. She also enjoyed hiking, camping, her pet dogs and cats, and spending time with family and friends. She may have been small in stature, but she was mighty in spirit!

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, with her sister Kay Austin officiating per Brenda’s request. Following the service, Brenda will be buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Family and friends may visit with Brenda’s family on Wednesday from 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Those who wish to share a memory of Brenda may sign her online register.
