Bill Joe Ackley Sr

Bill J. Ackley, Sr., 63, of Frankfort, died at 9:25a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at his home. He was born on November 15, 1952 in Ross County, the son of the late Paul and Mary O. Greenlee Ackley Sr.. He married the former Loree N. White, who preceded him in death on May 7, 1988.
Surviving are two children, Billy (Andrea) Ackley, Amy N. Ackley-Preston, all of Frankfort, four grandchildren, Maloree N. Preston, Jake Preston, Anna Loree Ackley, Abigail Kate Ackley, two great-grandchildren, Levi Preston, Lynnlee Preston, two sisters, Opal Pollock Lowery, and Judy Jones, both of Chillicothe, and one brother, Paul E. Ackley, Jr., of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Butler and Betty Dunn and one brother, Donald B. Ackley. The family wishes to give special thanks to Bill's nephew, Bobby Ackley for helping care for him during his time of need.
Bill worked for many years at American Aggregate - Blue Rock Stone Quarry. Bill was a very family oriented man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially spending time with them in Florida.
Friends are invited to gather to in remembrance of Bill from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. A closing prayer will be held at 8p.m. and in accordance with Bill's wishes, cremation will follow.
