Betty Jean Walley Benner Eiring 82, of Bainbridge, went home to be with the Lord, in the early morning hours of Thursday, June 26, 2014. She was born January 1, 1932 in Ross County the daughter of the late Clark and Arabel Knisley Walley. She was also preceded in death by husband, Charles Henry "Deck" Benner; son, Dexter Kent Benner; sisters, Jeanette Adams, Josephine Cottrill and Sharma Mutter and brothers, Rodney and Marty Walley.
She is survived by her husband Henry Eiring, Jr.; children, Jennings "Jack" Benner, Mary Beth (Bruce) Knight, Timothy (Kimberly) Benner and Melissa J. Benner; stepchildren, Kathy (Dale) Williams, Michael (Diane) Eiring and Barbara (Mark) Hopkins; 12 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren; sisters, Cecil Benner, Louise Hines and Hazel (Bill) Malone; brothers, Jerry (Wanda) Walley, Clark (Shirley) Walley, Jr. and Steve Walley.
Betty loved going to church and she attended the Chapel of Hope in Greenfield. She was a great cook and enjoyed quilting and sewing.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Paint Valley New Hope Family Church, Bainbridge with Pastor Randy Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 5 pm Sunday at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge.
