Barbara L. Henson

Barbara L. Henson, 93, of Hillsboro, died at 4:57 a.m., on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Hospice of Hope - Ohio Valley, Seamen. She was born on Thursday, September 19, 1929, in Frankfort, the daughter of the late Howard and Betty Miller Blue. She married her husband, Rev., Dr. Joseph E. Henson, Sr. on August 16, 1949 and he preceded her in death on November 17, 2013.

She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer L. Ward of Washington C.H., one son, Jospeh E. Henson, II of Lakeland, FL, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Barbara was preceded in death by her two sisters, Beverly Clyne and June Clark and her one brother, Monty "Pete" Blue.

Barbara was a 1947 graduate of Frankfort High School. She retired as a secretary with AEP. She also supported her husband, Joe, in his ministry with the United Methodist Church. She attended the Leesburg Trinity Church. Barbara had been a member of the former Concord Chapter 520, Order of the Eastern Star.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort on Monday July 3, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Rich Allen officiating. No calling hours will be held.
