Alexandria Lea Ewing

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alexandria L. Hitchens Ewing, age 46, of Frankfort. Alex passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 28, 2025, at her parents residence. Born on Tuesday, November 7, 1978, in Chillicothe, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of Carl M. and Toni L. Beverly Hitchens.

She is survived by her mother, Toni L. Hitchens of Frankfort, her husband; Masaaki Ewing of Chillicothe; her children; Ajani Ewing, Swayze Ewing, Blaize Ewing and Aaliyah Ewing, her brother; Carl M. (Tracey) Hitchens, II of Frankfort; her nieces and nephews; Michael (Chelsey) Hitchens, Carley (Drew) Hitchens, Cayden Hitchens; and great nephews and nieces; Brayden Harsha, Adrianna Hitchens, Tyson Hitchens, Braxton Miller and Tatum Miller. Alex is also survived by many special friends, who were a very important part of her life. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl M. Hitchens and her son, Erick Ewing.

Alex was a proud graduate of the Adena High School, class of 1997. She then attended Howard University and received her degree in Criminal Justice. She worked for the State of Ohio for several years. Alex had a deep love for writing poetry and cherished time spent with her family.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 1 p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. The service will be officiated by Reverend Victor L. Davis, Bishop Obadiah Harris and Pastor Jeremy Beverly. Cremation will follow the service. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 2, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
