Albie Gallaugher

Albie Gallaugher, 89, of Clarksburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Carriage Court of Washington Court House, where she had been a temporary resident. She was born on Wednesday, October 25, 1933, in Pike County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Herbert and Emma Ford Colburn. On June 28, 1953, she married the love of her life, James F. Gallaugher. Albie and Jim were married 57 years when he died on December 23, 2009.

She is survived by their children; David (Vickie) Gallaugher of Bainbridge, Richard Gallaugher of Chillicothe and Michael (Brenda) Gallaugher of Frankfort, a daughter-in-law; Kelly Gallaugher of Chillicothe, ten grandchildren; Wes (Lindsey) Gallaugher, Nicole (Michael) Cooper, Austin Gallaugher, Evan (Becka) Gallaugher, Leslie (Chris) Younge, Michael (Ashley) Gallaugher, Shannon Duncan, Brandi Duncan, Brooke (Tom) Cunningham, Amber (Jason) Furniss, Eric (Johanna) Rawlings, Chad (Heather) Rawlings, Scott (Natalie) Rawlings and Jesse Adams and many great grandchildren. Albie is also survived by her sisters; Joann (Jerry) King and Norma Williams,her brothers-in-law; Dan Rawlings, Gerald (Bea) Gallaugher, Bill (Karen) Gallaugher, Lloyd (Bev) Graves, her sisters-in-law; Barb Kretzer and Debbie Colburn.

Albie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, their son, Jeff Gallaugher, their daughter-in-law; Teri Gallaugher, her brothers; Floyd and Herbert Colburn, her sisters; Nellie Zimmerman and Linda Rawlings and sisters-in-law; Pat Martin, Cindy Graves and Alberta Colburn and her brothers-in-law; James Martin and Donald Kretzer.

Albie was an avid homemaker, a member of the High Street Church of Christ in Christian Union Church and the Clarksburg Grange. She loved baking, cooking and watching her grandchildren play sports.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, with Rev. Bruce Viar officiating, Following the service, she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Jim, in Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial contributions be made in her name to ProMedica Hospice, 208 N Fayette Street, Washington CH, OH 43160 or Carriage Court of Washington C.H., 500 N Glenn Ave., Washington C.H., OH 43160.
