Albert E. "Gene" Logan, 83, of Chillicothe, died at 4:02 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at his home. He was born on Wednesday, March 10, 1943, in Ross County, a son of the late Albert Alexander and Bertha Waldene Pritchard Logan. His wife of 40 years, the former Serena A. Ferguson survives.
Also surviving are their 6 children, Leah Bobb-itt of Columbus, Regina (Rick) Foster of Georgia, Tonya Bretz of Virginia, Chris Saunders and Braden Saunders both of Columbus, Hennessy (Chris) Harris of Wilmington, sixteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one brother Terry (Carol) Logan of Roxabel, and several nieces and nephews. Gene was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Alice (Charles) Briggs, and one brother, John Ragland.
Gene was a 1961 graduate of Frankfort High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a quality assurance inspector at Martin-Marietta Atomic Plant, Piketon. He was a member of the Ionic Lodge 6, and the Quinn Chapel, Chillicothe. He was an avid bowler and golfer.
A funeral service for Gene will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026, in the Quinn Chapel, Chillicothe with Rev. Victor Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, where military honors will be accorded. Friends are invited to visit with Gene's family at the church on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
