Darlene L. Bennett, 77, of Hillsboro, died on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at her home. She was born on August 9, 1941 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Owen and Nedra Corbin Miller. She married George L. Bennett on September 21,1984.
She is survived by her husband, six children; Dena (Larry) Hamilton of Plain City, Robert (Crista) Delph, II of Monroe, Louisiana, Leigh Delph of Hillsboro, Utalcia Thatcher of Circleville, David (Christy) Bennett of Hilliard, Stacy Bennett of Baltimore, Ohio, fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one sister; Marilyn Griffith of Grove City. Darlene is also survived by her beloved pet, Daisy. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Janice Vallen and Shirley Miller.
Darlene was a 1959 graduate of West High School in Columbus. She received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Hocking College. She worked as an LPN at the Columbus West Park Care Center. Darlene and George were members of Greenfield Eagles, Aerie 1325 and the Greenfield VFW.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield with Rev. Larry Dillard officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery. Family and friends may visit with Darlene’s family on Thursday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to the time of the service.
