Danny L. Reed, 61, beloved husband and grandfather who will be sadly missed died unexpectedly on Sunday July 15, 2007 after spending a perfect day with family, grandchildren, and sisters. He was born Nov. 8, 1945 the son of the late Clarence and Mary Coey Reed. On Aug. 22, 1965 he married his high school sweetheart, the former Jane Current, who survives.
Also surviving are his daughters; Liesa (Ralph) Williams of Westerville, Amy (Edward) Sanchez of Columbus, grandchildren; Emilea and Spencer Williams, Nathaniel and Nicholas Sanchez, sisters; Nancy (Donald) Rapp, Ruth (Dennis) Gallagher, both of Chillicothe, Patricia Bates of California, brothers; Clarence Reed, Jr. of Piketon, Glenn (Alicia) Claytor of Kingston, James (June) Claytor of Chillicothe, Ronald (Patricia) Claytor of Florida, brothers-in-law; Ted Current, Bill (Linda) Current, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers; Charles Claytor and Roger Reed and sister; Joyce Ganyon.
Danny served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Reserves, and he retired from the U.S. Air Force. He served as postmaster of the Centerburg Post Office. He recently worked at the Great Indoors at Polaris Fashion Place.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 20, 2007 at 1 PM at the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Twin Township Cemetery, Bourneville. Military honors will be accorded by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5 to 8 PM.
