Life Legacy


Daniel L. Barnhart, 61, of Williamsport died at his home on Saturday evening, Jan. 23, 2010, surrounded by his family. He was born Sept. 11, 1948 in Latrobe, PA. the son of the late Leonard and Ann Stitt Barnhart. On April 20, 1996 he married the former Terri Reeves, who survives.

Also surviving is his step mother; Connie Barnhart of Blairsville, PA, children; Misty (Rich) Wilt of Frankfort, Dan Barnhart II (Lee Ann) of New Albany, Cindy (Luke) Burns of Frankfort, grandchildren; Wes, Lexee, Clay Wilt, Daniel Barnhart III, Hannah and Katie Burns, sisters; Dayna Sarnovsky of Indiana, PA, Debbie Bell of Blairsville, PA, Sue Blakeman and Sandy Jordan both of Chillicothe, brothers; Dave Barnhart and Dwayne Barnhart both of Blairsville, PA, Fred Stitt of Chillicothe, and a special friend; Chad Temple of Clarksburg.

Daniel retired as a driver for Yellow Freight Systems. He was a member and had been the vice president of Teamster Local 413. Daniel loved his Harley, to hunt, fishing, and traveling. He served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He and his wife attended Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday Jan. 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort with Rev. Don Ringer and Pastor Brandon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort with military honors accorded by Ross County Honors Guard . Friends may call at the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort on Tuesday, from 5 to 8pm.
