Until 1946, our funeral home facility had been a private residence built in the late 1800's. The Fisher family moved the funeral home from the store front on Main Street where they had operated a funeral parlor and furniture store. In 1975 the building under went a major refurbishing under the direction of Donald Anderson.
In 2003 a major renovation was started to update our facility to better accommodate our families. Bill Ebright contracted with Omega Design Group to do the planning and design for our new facility. Work begin in November of 2003 and we began using the new facility in June of 2004 with the completion of a new chapel, foyer, restrooms, all are handicap accessible, new flower delivery area and a new embalming area. In 2005 a new children's room and a new smoking area was completed.

On March 1, 2008, Ebright Funeral Home, Inc purchased Smith Moore Funeral Home from the Estate of Fred H. Moore. After receiving our new Funeral Home License on July 1, 2008 the name was changed according to Ohio laws to Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home. Bainbridge resident, Donald M. "Matt" Conley, was named Manager of the funeral home. Matt is a licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director.
